Kardashian-Free Venues
Even the vast fortune of the Kardashian family doesn’t buy them into some places that simply decided that they don’t want to be involved in their lavish lifestyle. They don’t want to get all the unnecessary media attention, or maybe the Kardashians just get on their nerves? Whatever the reason, take a look at the list of places (even whole towns!) that won’t stand for any Kardashian presence.
The Hamptons

Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons is one of the Keeping Up with the Kardashian spin-offs. The episode has the two ladies visit the Long Island town, but they’re not in for a cordial welcome. It turns out that both the locals and the visitors hate the media attention and the omnipresent, meddling TV crew. The sisters had such a hard time in the town that the episode come out with little quality – they could only visit Hampton Bays as they weren’t really wanted anywhere else, with most restaurants and bars simply banning them.
Parties at the Oscars

It’s not like the Kardashian girls are real actresses, so it’s quite weird that Hollywood tolerates their presence on their various parties and events. Well, not all of them – Kris Jenner was allegedly acting so inappropriately on some Raleigh Studios’ Oscar parties that the whole of her family won’t be attending any other event organized by them due to an official ban. Kardashians have claimed not to be heavy drinkers on many occasions, but it seems that they weren’t too honest with this one.
Anderson Cooper 360

Although Anderson Cooper is quite a rich fellow himself, being a part of the Vanderbilt family, he doesn’t take kindly to the Kardashians. It’s probably not due to their wealth, it’s just that he’s a serious reporter who prefers to deal with serious issues such as business or politics. During an episode of Plead the Fifth, he explicitly stated that he wouldn’t have any Kardashian on his program, or anyone who gained fame due to knowing them.
The Met Gala

So the Kardashians were banned from this one because Anna Wintour, the Vogue Editor-in-chief fervently disliked both the girls and their outfits. The Met Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, was one of few Kardashian-free places until Kim married Kanye, when Wintour’s opinion on Kim started to ameliorate. It didn’t last long, though – when Kim was finally admitted to the gala, the first thing she did was to take a photo, which meant an infringement of the rules… She won’t be coming back, I guess.
Vogue Magazine

The Met Gala is not the only way that Wintour had of deprecating the Kardashians. The Vogue editor-in-chief regularly makes sure that no Kardashian family members are even referenced in her magazine, not to mention the inclusion of photographs. After Kanye and Kim were shown on a 2014 Vogue cover, Kim betrayed Wintour’s trust yet again on the aforementioned Met Gala (the photo-taking bit), so they won’t be featured there anytime soon.
South Beach, Miami

The Kardashians planned to have a three-month siege on South Beach, Miami, with cameras rolling and filming another reality show of theirs: Kourtney & Kim Take Miami. No surprise here – the locals really got pissed and found a way to legally get rid of the TV crew. Instead of wreaking havoc in South Beach, the poor girls had to move to North Miami Beach – that must have hurt! Not. What did is the fact that their new location was pretty much surrounded by abandoned houses and strip clubs.
Florida… almost

I do get it, people tend to be bored when they’re imprisoned, but Wayne Albright, an inmate stationed in Florida, really did something I wouldn’t come up with on a life sentence. On a whim, or maybe genuinely concerned about the well-being of his folk, Wayne decided to file a lawsuit against Kim and Kayne, trying to impede them from entering the state of Florida ever again. The residents of South Beach are probably sad that he didn’t succeed.
The White House

Kanye and Obama are not the best of friends. As much as Kanye is known for having a big mouth, you’d think he’d shut it when the President is concerned – well, not Kanye. On the other hand, Barack Obama didn’t stop at casting some evil stares Kanye’s way. So politically correct in most cases, the President actually denominated Kanye a “jackass” on live television. Comes to no surprise, then, that Kardashians are not really welcome in The White House.
