Who Are the Celebs That Wowed Us Most at the Super Bowl
There are days when you just feel proud to be American. And the Super Bowl is definitely such a day. This year’s 51st Super Bowl was a spectacular event where the unexpected moments and the epic football game kept us glued to the TV screens.
But all that magic was simply not complete without familiar faces here and there to spice up the atmosphere. From Usher and Lady Gaga (obviously!) to Luke Bryan and John Legend, the celebrities brought the glitz and glam to the NRG Stadium, giving us plenty to gossip about.
Now let’s see who stole the spotlight!
Lady Gaga
Easily the QUEEN of the night! Even days after her epic performance, everyone can’t stop raving about the acrobatics and fiery dance. It made us remember why we fell in love with her in the first place as she belted out her famous hits like ‘Bad Romance’, ‘Million Reasons’, ‘Born This Way’. The amazing energy that she brought to the stadium was unmissable, making the Halftime Show the highlight of the whole event.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen
This power couple led the style. The thirty-one-year-old model and her bae showed off their fashion choices before taking a seat in the box. And that drove the audience and Twitter followers crazy. At the party, Chrissy flashed her legs in knee-high black boots and a stunning black and white dress while the Legend, himself, dazzled in his black casual look.
Mark Wahlberg
Mark Wahlberg was another die-hard football fan that appeared in Houston for the game. He was photographed before the match in his sports outfit and in a particularly good mood. He was waving to the crowds and talking with the team players. And he definitely showed his love for the Patriots with a cool gray cap bearing their logo. We can imagine the joy he felt when they won! But he wasn’t the only one. We couldn’t help it but melt at the picture of his little boys supporting the Patriots.
Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans
Avengers assemble! Or at least just two of them. Actors Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans made everyone’s hearts sing with their reunion. The both of them were laughing throughout the evening, each going for different wardrobe choices. Surprisingly, Captain America replaced his tight suit for a laid-back combination, which suited him as well. Guess what? They both supported the Pats on the field. That’s a true bromance right there.
George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush
The couple of the evening award goes to the Former President of the United States George H. W. Bush and Former First Lady Barbara Bush. They looked very delighted and happy while taking part in the coin tossing ceremony before the Patriots-Falcons game. With a huge round of applause and a standing ovation from players, team members, and the audience, they entered the stadium. The First Lady was in a golf cart with her husband pushed in a wheel chair beside her. A very tender moment, indeed.
Usher
Unfortunately, Usher’s Falcons weren’t celebrating at the end of the night, but he certainly made a mark. His red jacket and black cap were unmistakable as he hung out on the field, greeting the audience with grins and waves. Man, he had so much energy. Even after the loss the hitmaker and producer took to Twitter to congratulate the Pats and promised a comeback for the Falcons.
Luke Bryan
When the high notes of the National Anthem filled the NRG Stadium, Luke made every American proud. Truly nailed it! He definitely earned praises from his colleagues and fans alike on the social media and on the stands. Sharing the wonderful moment with his close friends and family among which his wife and father, the country singer couldn’t feel more grateful. A job well done, Mr. Bryan!
Simone Biles
This was truly a night for celebrating sport. Even Simone Biles, the Olympic gold medalist, was there to cheer for the teams. We’re not sure about her loyalties as she took pictures both with the owner of the Patriots and Falcons’ cheerleaders. But one thing is for certain. All eyes were on her thanks to the viral image with the sports legend Shaquille O’Neal.
After all of this buzz, we can’t wait for the next Super Bowl. 2018, here we come!
