Actors Hollywood Could Get Rid Of

Posted on

So there’s always that one guy… And let’s hope you’re not one of them – that guy who just sucks at his job, whatever that is, but they can never seem to sack him? No one knows how or why, but he keeps getting new orders and staying on the surface while many young successors with twice his potential can’t land themselves places in the business. You probably already know what kind of actors we’ll be talking about, then? Their days of acting mastery have passed, yet they’re landing massive salaries at Hollywood still.

Adam Sandler

So Adam Sandler is the guy who will take an upcoming comedy with quite a lot of potential and… make it less funny than a funeral. Every line of his is a pathetic attempt at being hilarious and every one fails utterly – it’s actually quite worthy of compassion. It’s been years since any movie that starred this guy had a positive critical reception. To sum Sandler’s utter misery up, let’s remember that this guy actually got the “prizes” for being both the worst actor and the worst actress after his Jack and Jill – let’s say no more.

Jennifer Lopez

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away we were all dazzled by J-Lo’s incredible… rear end. It seems to have been the very asset that kick started her acting career, actually – and it wasn’t even that bad. Key word: “wasn’t”. Jennifer has been the most common name on most lists of worst actresses for years already. All she does nowadays is starring in Shade of Blue, a police drama of little ambition and even scantier audience, and maybe some voice acting. Sorry to inform you, Jennifer, it’s Kim Kardashian who’s the booty queen right now, and you don’t really have it in you to try to win yourself any other position on the market.

Rob Schneider

This guy should have just disappeared years ago and it would have been for the better to all of us, but he still carries on acting, unfortunately. It seems that unlike us, he doesn’t think Hot Chick and Deuce Bigalow were simply enough. Rob’s latest production actually got a rating of 8% on Rotten Tomatoes. Eight. Percent. Not a typo. Norm of the North, the aspiring comedy and a should-have-been-cute animation has been spurned by both kids and their parents, so there seems to be no hope left for Schneider.

Megan Fox

This is one of the many actresses who aren’t even all that good at their craft – they just have the incredible luck of being hot, which lands them one role after another until they get old… The way Hollywood is, what can one do. I don’t even mean to criticize Megan, according to the interviews she gives, she’s an alright gal, surprisingly normal and unassuming, not really enjoying the media attention. Her only sin is being so pretty it got her settled in life – pardon the envy.

Tim Allen

Let’s start with the positive bit because that’s how good-natured I am: Tim Allen was actually quite good in Galaxy Quest, maybe because he played a character as crazy as he is himself? Then there was Buzz Lightyear, the cult little one, and… Time to go off to the realm of bad acting. The Shaggy Dog or The Santa Clause 3 simply aren’t movies worth of being shown on screen, it hurts too much, and Last Man Standing is so painfully biased that you can only watch it as a comedy on a level different that it was meant by the producer. Bye bye, Tim.

Aubrey Plaza

After Aubrey starred in Parks & Recreation as April Ludgate, she’s never been the same again… Wait, she has. That’s the problem – there has been no change at all to her acting since that one role that defined every next one that’s come since 2009. Even in Safety Not Guaranteed, a movie that could have been Aubrey’s chance at hitting back, she just kept reworking her old character. There might be few more chances if she doesn’t step her game up soon.

Mike Myers

It’s been 15 years since first Shrek hit the screens and Mike has been wise enough to use all possibilities to get as much out of it as he could. After nine sequels, he hasn’t really taken part in any other worthy production – just think about The Love Guru, which was fortunately Myers’ last significant attempt at not-sucking. (Didn’t succeed.)

Kristen Stewart

This is the name that simply had to appear – although Kristen isn’t a bad person, she’s just not the actress that Hollywood is trying to pretend she is. Cold and apathetic, her roles have never dazzled the audience, although it’s not like the movies she starred in were ever Oscar material – neither Snow White and the Huntsman, nor Twilight were places for talent to shine. It’s just that it’s been more than a decade since Kristen started playing in Hollywood and she still hasn’t had this one great production that would justify her staying in the headlines for so long.

Johnny Depp

Via: india.com

This name is probably a surprise, but just think about it – Johnny Depp is not the actor he used to be. After a number of huge blockbusters, he lowered himself to the level of movies such as The Lone Ranger, Mortdecai, Dark Shadows, and Alice in Wonderland – none worthy of Depp as he used to be years before. It’s not like Depp doesn’t have the talent that let him reach the place he’s in now, but he needs to gather himself a bit and start playing in Oscar material movies, not Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes. Why not follow the path set out by Black Mass?
