Seinfeld is one of the top-top sitcoms, according to some, the best to have ever aired. Although it hasn’t been in the circulation for two decades, people still remember the many laughs they had thanks to the show – and nowadays, the cast is more prone to handing us drama than comedy. Here we are with a list of biggest scandals in which the Seinfeld stars have been involved.
Accusations of Plagiarism Thrown At Seinfeld’s Wife

So Jessica Seinfeld, Jerry’s beloved wife, did one day decide to reap the fruit of her passion and publish a children’s cookbook called Deceptively Delicious. Jessica didn’t stay happy for long as in January 2008 she got sued for having plagiarized the whole thing! According to author Missy Chase Lapine, Seinfeld’s book is a “brazen plagiarism” of her own piece, The Sneaky Chef. Jerry didn’t actually walk off from the case unscathed, either, as Miss Missy decided to file charges against him, too. Why? He made fun of her accusations in an interview with David Letterman. Fortunately for the Seinfelds, they were both cleared after a lengthy trial that took more than three years. “Stockpiling vegetable purees for covert use in children’s food is an idea that cannot be copyrighted,” the judge declared quite down-to-earthly. It seems that the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan does have a good day once in a while. As far as Jerry’s defamation trial is concerned, according to the judge it’d have been “inconceivable that a reasonable viewer would have believed that Seinfeld’s statements [on the Late Show with David Letterman] were conveying facts about Lapine.”
