Bullock had a rich career in the television. Having started with Too Close for Comfort, he then participated in hits such as Battlestars and ALF. Jim found out that he was HIV positive with the production of The Ted Knight Show under way. Soon afterwards, Bullock was described by a reporter as “in the pink of health”. His response was: “I’m…no. I’m about to die, actually. But let’s not talk about that now, OK?” However, he’s still alive, having outlived his partner, John Casey, whose demise was also caused by AIDS.
