A huge cinematographical star, Perkins starred in classic movies such as The Trial, Murder on the Orient Express and Fear Strikes Out – but his most famous role was that of Norman Bates in Psycho. Perkins had the bad luck of finding out that he had HIV while he was in the middle of Psycho III. He passed away at 60, in 1992, because of a lung disease caused by his AIDS.
