15 Signs Your Colleagues Secretly Hate You
You can’t be liked by everyone at work, there are always people who secretly hate you. Find out who are those people with these 15 signs.
They don’t smile. If your colleagues stop smiling the moment you walk into the room, or if they don’t express any positive emotions around you, they hate you. However, it doesn’t count if the day is bad for everyone (e.g. everyone’s salary was reduced).
They don’t look into your eyes. If your colleagues avoid eye contact, they probably don’t really like you. In fact, they don’t want to be looking at you.
They spread rumors and gossip about you. This kind of unprofessional behavior is aimed only against those who are not respected at work. Make sure you are not the victim.
They don’t notice your presence. If you walk into the room and nobody greets with a handshake or says ‘good morning’, we have bad news for you.
They barely speak to you. If every time you ask your colleagues a question, they answer you with just one word (‘yes’, ‘no’ or ‘I don’t know’), they deliberately express their contempt with you.
They express their negative attitude with their body language. If your colleague, say, crosses his arms over the chest when speaking to you, he subconsciously distances himself away from you.
They don’t invite you to lunch or have coffee. It’s a sign that they hate you.
They avoid real life talk with you. If your colleagues opt for talking to you via email or messenger (even if you sit with them in the same room), it’s a sign that they don’t want to see your face and talk to you.
They constantly disagree with you. If all your ideas, no matter how awesome they seem to you, are dismissed by your colleagues, it’s because they don’t respect your opinion and would rather you kept silent.
They don’t ask you personal questions. If your colleagues talk among themselves about families and plans for vacation, but don’t get you engaged in such discussions, it’s because they are not interested in you nor your personal life.
They don’t let you into their discussions. If everybody is joking around, and you sit alone and are not engage in the discussion, it’s because they don’t like you around. However, ask yourself – maybe the problem is in you?
They steal your ideas. If your colleagues constantly steal your ideas, it’s because they are trying to get you out of the office as soon as possible.
They tell you want to do. If your colleagues play the role of the boss with you – not having any authority to do so – it’s because they are trying to dominate and thus show their contempt with you.
They don’t invite you to their company. If your colleagues are divided into certain group and subgroups and you are not a part of either of them, it’s because they don’t want you around.
Your guts tell you that you are not liked. If the feeling that your colleagues hate you is eating you from the inside, you should probably listen to your inner voice.
