Sugar is in a lot of foods on the market. High amounts of sugar cause people to be fat. Why you ask? Sugar contains both glucose and fructose. Every cell in our bodies benefits from glucose. Glucose is partly where we get our energy from. Whereas the second compound fructose is not naturally a part of our bodies. It is a foreign chemical that is only absorbed by the liver. When we eat a lot of sugar the fructose gets absorbed by the liver and converted into fat.
