When we see all the celebrities sporting their perfect bodies at the award shows and red carpets, we can’t help it but wonder how they do it. Don’t they eat chocolate like all normal people do? Do they eat anything at all?

Well, my friends, the truth is that they probably don’t. And some of them take their diets to such an extreme that they exist only on water. Crazy, right? You’ve heard nothing yet.

Here’re the absolutely impossible celebrity diets that are just impossible to handle!

Beyonce’s lemonade diet

Lemonade isn’t only the name of Queen Bey’s latest album. It was also her only ‘food’ for 10 days straight. It’s totally true. She consumed only lemon juice mixed with maple syrup and pepper. This isn’t an actual diet, but it’s treated like that still. Wow! Not to mention that she actually lost amazing 9 kilos.

Renee Zellweger ate only ice cubes

Wait what? Unlike Bridget Jones, the actress focused on losing weight by eating nothing but ice cubes. According to her, if she could satisfy the need of constant feeding, it worked for her. But have in mind that this isn’t a healthy diet at all since the ice cubes consist only of frozen water. And you may damage your teeth, so it’s not very recommended.

Adriana Lima doesn’t taste solid food

Victoria Secret’s model takes diets to a whole new level, removing all solid foods from her meals nine days before her shows. That’s not all, I’m afraid. Aside from living only on shakes and other supplements, she takes away all liquids twelve hours prior to the show. Even water isn’t allowed. This is a hell of a tough diet. Lima says so, too.

Anne Hathaway starved herself

Luckily, it was only for a role in the movie adaptation of ‘Les Miserables’ and it didn’t last long. Nonetheless, Anne Hathaway really went crazy with her starvation diet. She ate only oatmeal paste a day. Yes. Two thin slices of it and that was it. Probably it was worth it since she won an Oscar for that role.

Kim Kardashian went for her own placenta

Yuck! As much as this may sound gross, the reality show celebrity did it in an attempt to get rid of the baby weight. The unique hormones in the placenta apparently made that possible, so she froze it and turned it into pills. And she actually drank them. She’s devoted; you have to give her that.

Dwayne Johnson ate six or seven times a day

You better believe it. Although it sounds like the best diet in the world, it truly isn’t. The Rock worked very hard for that ‘Hercules’ body and a lot of that fell on eating food that contained huge quantities of carbs, proteins, and fats. No wonder he ate egg whites, chicken, fish, broccoli and who-knows-what-else six or seven times a day. Would you be brave enough to do it?

Victoria Beckham and her five handfuls

After she gave birth, Victoria Beckham used the so-called Five Hands diet. It’s rather simple really, but not that easy to get through. The catch is to eat only five handfuls of products rich in protein. No matter if it’s eggs, berries or salmon, they should take up to the size of five palms. Also, she included a lot of water and green vegetables in her diet.

Shots of apple vinegar are the Transformers actress’s way of getting rid of the extra kilos. The apple cider vinegar is known to clean the system as well as melt the fats. As it seems Megan Fox is a firm believer in that.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s macrobiotic diet

Another extreme case is Gwyneth Paltrow. She totally endangered her health while going for organic food and a bit of fish. The diet is against everything that’s processed and somehow refined, instead focusing on foods that are naturally prepared. The people using this diet to the extreme usually face problems with protein, vitamin B, calcium, as well as osteopenia. Poor Gwyneth.

Obviously, these diets are way out of the ordinary and that is precisely what can be expected from Hollywood’s brightest stars. But note that they’re probably too much for everyone else. Beware how you use them!
