Amityville Haunting
Probably the most popular ghost tale in America, the Amityville haunting is the source of a number of films and books. As the real-life story has been told, the occupant family of the house was brutally murdered by their own son in 1974. The house has since been an epicenter of strange noises, visions of spirits and supernatural encounters.
