Army Specialist opened fired Fort Hood
Army Specialist Ivan Lopez was home after a brief tour of duty in Iraq. Lopez said he suffered a severe head injury there. The injury never happened and he was in the process of being evaluated for post-traumatic stress disorder. He had a history of mental health issues and was in therapy prior to the shootings. He was able to legally purchase a gun that was used to kill 3 people and wound 16.
