New Year’s Eve brings multiple parades around the islands. These parades feature crazy costumes and colorful floats. People call this the Mardi Gras of the Bahamas. The parades conclude with beach parties all over the islands. On the streets there are live performers and music. Massive fireworks displays cap off the event at midnight.
